Soulwinning

Soulwinning is the God-ordained method we follow to obey Christ's commandment to bring forth fruit unto eternal life. "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain…" — John 15:16 "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise." — Proverbs 11:30 When we go out into the neighborhoods and streets of our city and persuade men and women to be saved, we are accomplishing Christ's will for our lives and are in full obedience to His command to bring forth much fruit.

"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." — Mark 16:15 Jesus Christ commands us to preach the gospel to the entire world. Preaching the gospel is also the only way anyone can be saved. "It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe." The only way anyone can get saved is if someone who has already been saved shows them through the Word of God how to be saved. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?" — Romans 10:13–14 Stedfast Baptist Church takes this responsibility very seriously and gears the entire ministry around equipping its members to go out and preach the gospel effectively.

The Bible teaches us that "the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." An unsaved man cannot be saved without the help of a saved man, because he has no spiritual discernment. In Acts 8, someone was reading Isaiah 53 — a chapter that clearly explains what Jesus Christ did for us — and yet the Ethiopian eunuch had no clue what he needed to do to be saved. "How can I?" said he, "except some man should guide me?" The only way for a man, woman, boy, or girl to believe on Jesus Christ is if a saved, Spirit-filled preacher opens their mouth boldly and makes known the mystery of the Gospel.

Show up at the church building during our church-wide soulwinning times and we will pair you with an experienced soulwinner who has had success winning others to Christ. We have a sample plan of salvation you can print out and use to get started (see the link below). If you have never gone soulwinning, don't worry! We will pair you with someone who has experience and success winning others to Christ. You can be their silent partner and give them the prayer and encouragement they need while knocking doors in our city!

No! There are only two requirements to go out soulwinning with us: 1. Be Saved – You must believe that salvation is strictly obtained by faith in Jesus Christ without any good works (going to church, turning from your sins, keeping the commandments), and that once you are saved, you are saved forever. 2. Be In Good Standing as a Christian – If you have been removed from a church for a biblical reason (Romans 16, Matthew 18, 1 Corinthians 5), you must reconcile with that church before soulwinning with Stedfast Baptist Church.
